S.O.S. (Save Our Stuff) Conference 2026 - Stronger Together: Partnerships in Preservation
Join preservation professionals, students, and partners for ICPC’s annual conference focused on practical strategies, collaboration, and real-world collections care. SOS brings together voices from across museums, libraries, and archives to share knowledge, build connections, and strengthen preservation efforts across the region.
IMA Plugged-In
IMA Plugged-In: Connecting the Field
ICPC encourages members to take part in IMA Plugged-In, a free virtual series hosted by the Iowa Museum Association that brings museum professionals and volunteers together for timely conversations across the field. These monthly sessions offer an accessible space to connect, ask questions, and explore real-world challenges facing cultural heritage institutions.
ICPC will be featured in an upcoming session, “Connecting, Progressing, and Supporting Preservation in Iowa,” highlighting how the organization supports collections care through training, resources, and collaboration. The presentation will explore ICPC’s mission and goals, with a focus on connecting early-career professionals with experienced practitioners, advancing preservation knowledge and practice, and supporting the statewide IMALERT emergency response system. The session will also highlight ICPC’s collaborative work with partners, including the Iowa Museum Association.
Presenters include Amanda Latta, MLIS, CARST, Administrative Assistant for ICPC, and Julia Wells, Assistant Grand Librarian and Curator at the Grand Lodge of Iowa Masonic Library and Museum.
These informal, one-hour conversations provide an easy way to stay engaged, learn from peers, and remain connected to the broader preservation community.
Preservation Destination
Preservation Destination occurs in the fall, offering members behind-the-scenes access to collection spaces at institutions throughout the state. These site visits provide hands-on learning opportunities and a closer look at preservation work in action.
Vendors & Sponsors
Vendors and sponsors are integral to the S.O.S. experience. They bring expertise, resources, and fresh perspectives that help connect attendees with new ideas, services, and solutions.
The partnerships they foster extend well beyond a single conference. Their ongoing support helps strengthen preservation efforts, build professional networks, and connect organizations with the tools and expertise needed to care for collections and serve their communities.
On behalf of ICPC, thank you to our vendors and sponsors for being an important part of SOS 2026.
