  • Most board members attend one to two online meetings each month, with activity varying throughout the year. Planning periods leading up to conferences and events may require additional involvement, while other times of the year are less demanding. We strive to create meaningful opportunities while respecting the busy schedules of preservation professionals, students, and community members.

  • ICPC welcomes board members from across Iowa's cultural heritage community, including museum professionals, archivists, librarians, conservators, educators, students, local historians, and others passionate about preservation. Whether you're an experienced practitioner, emerging professional, volunteer, or retiree, your perspective is valuable. No prior board experience is required, just an interest in supporting and advancing preservation efforts throughout Iowa.
