What Membership Means in 2026
As ICPC begins its annual membership drive, we’re excited to share a preview of what members can look forward to in 2026. Membership provides access to professional learning, meaningful connections, and unique behind-the-scenes experiences across Iowa’s preservation community.
New in 2026: Collaboration with the Iowa Museum Association
ICPC is excited to partner with the Iowa Museum Association on expanded professional development opportunities. This collaboration will include an ICPC-led presentation for IMA Plugged In and a hands-on workshop at the IMA Annual Conference, reflecting a shared commitment to practical preservation training and cross-sector collaboration.
Save Our Stuff (SOS) Conference & Annual Meeting
Members are invited to attend ICPC’s annual spring Save Our Stuff (SOS) Conference, featuring practical sessions that address real-world preservation challenges and emerging issues in the field. The ICPC Annual Meeting is held during the SOS Conference, providing members with the opportunity to engage in organizational updates, elections, and conversations that help shape ICPC’s future.
Preservation Destination
Preservation Destination returns in the fall, offering members behind-the-scenes access to collection spaces at institutions throughout the state. These site visits provide hands-on learning opportunities and a closer look at preservation work in action.
Professional Development Scholarships
ICPC Professional Development Scholarships are available to members seeking to expand or refresh their preservation knowledge and skills. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-approved basis. Application information and forms are available on the ICPC website.
Student Board Member Positions
ICPC continues to welcome student voices to its leadership. Student Board Member positions are available, and members are encouraged to share this opportunity with undergraduate and graduate students interested in preservation, advocacy, and professional service.
By becoming a member of the Iowa Conservation and Preservation Consortium, you help strengthen a statewide network dedicated to protecting Iowa’s cultural heritage while supporting education, collaboration, and access across the field.
