ICPC Annual Professional Development Scholarships

The Iowa Conservation and Preservation Consortium (ICPC) annually offers its members Professional Development Scholarships to attend courses in all fields of conservation and preservation. Applications will be reviewed on an annual rolling time period, with scholarships awarded on a first-come, first-awarded basis.

Eligible applicants must be an individual member of ICPC or work or volunteer at an organization that has an institutional membership. Applicants should be able to demonstrate that the information learned will be utilized to help preserve the history and culture of Iowa. Approved applicants will be reimbursed by ICPC, for up to $500, for the cost of the course in which they have attended.


Eligibility Requirements for ICPC Professional Development Scholarships:

  • Applicants must be a member of the ICPC or from an organization that has an institutional
  • Applicants must be a member of the ICPC or from an organization that has an institutional membership with ICPC.
  • Applicants must work in an Iowa institution, care about Iowa repositories and institutions, or be a college student attending school in Iowa.
  • Applicants must be working or who have worked in a museum, historical society, library, archive, genealogical society library, government record office, or other institution that preserves the history and culture of Iowa.
  • The scholarship winners must demonstrate that the classes taken will be utilized within the state of Iowa.
  • Each winner will provide ICPC documentation that can be shared with other ICPC members such as a tip sheet or a presentation at a future ICPC event.
